I don't know why but I really like this picture and it makes me feel the same deep strange feeling every time I look at it...which I really like.

Paper Airplane

I have thought many times that approaching someone may be a good idea while having a strange feeling that it might not be. This was one of those time that wasn't too cool. Mental illness is a serious disease that strangely enough is a part of most everyones life at some point or another sadly enough. Try to be understanding when you come across this, for your sake and theirs. And try not to take the simplest things for granted.

Easter 2010

Met this guy a while back I believe it was Easter Sunday while he was waiting at the bus stop. I drove past him and something told me to turn around. Initially I just wanted to snap a picture if it was cool with him cause he had so much character. Well, turns out he was waiting for the bus to take him to see his wife at the nursing home. As I suspected public transportation shuts down for Easter, why not... I asked if he knew how to get there and if so I would take him. (I was pretty sure I would be able to take him if things turned ugly) Anyway found out a bit more about him on the short ride. Two kids that live within an hour that he hadn't seen in over 5 years, a debilitating disease, and a wife in a nursing home. All this and he was so freaking cool and nice and positive that it was inspiring. Took a few pics and we parted ways with each of us feeling extremely lucky to have crossed paths with the other. I learned that it pays off to slow down, listen to your instincts and take a chance sometimes, as I almost kept right on driving.
