Fly Fishing

This past Monday my dad and I went on a fly fishing day trip to a private stretch of river about an hour and a half from my house. It was such a perfect day its hard to describe accurately. The weather was perfectly sunny but cool, the fish were plentiful, and I wouldn't have wanted it to go any differently.

Caught some of the nicest trout in my life and a good amount on flies I tied. There were fish jumping all around taking everything from hatching insects to terrestrials. I saw a two inch grasshopper struggling get gulped up, also witnessed an osprey flying overhead holding a trout larger than most I usually am catching. Such a good trip. Here are some of the ones I caught, tried to get most but there were times when it was one after another every cast or two.

Got this back cleared the other day from Dan D. I relined it which turned out surprisingly good for the first attempt, so happy how it turned out.

I have had this spider building its web daily on my front porch. I walked out one day and saw one string of web and it climbing up it, three hours later I came home and it was finishing its web. I got a little video that is pretty cool of it making its web, which I will try and post on here. This thing has made a web and then taken it down daily for the past 4 days or so and I just noticed a second one doing the same today on a different side. I took this picture when it was dumping the other night.

hmmm...

I walked outside one the other morning to see these guys sitting next to my door. I wonder what went down.
