I hope to be riding down that way on the 69 at some point to show you the bike, hang out, and hopefully ride with you guys, I want to get some work started with you Marc and Dan. I know how good you both are at doing it. Long story on the bike but we shall see about its mid end result after I take care of all kinds of stuff I have been putting off.

Switching the old tires for my thrift store original Avenger tires for the 69 went way easier than expected. I don't know why I considered getting someone to do this as many bike tires and tubes I have changed in my life. And on that note if the pictures look different it's because they are from my new phone, my neighbors wifi hasn't been working too well. Stoked on the new phone though.

Scrape and bake

Finally got all the carbon and paint etc. off both 69 & 66 heads cylinders painted and baked and super happy with how they look.

Peanut city geeks

Was thinking about shaving and using them on the Ironhead but the ones that were on them narrowed look good to me. So these are getting some special treatment then coming at you Dan for the help with all the paint. They will look good on the shovel I think.

Frame has been sprayed with primer and I decided to trim these foot pegs up a bit and really like them a lot better.

April rules

I don't usually post pictures that aren't mine but I was flipping through an old April issue of Easyriders and though I would share this for April fools, enjoy, I know I did.

stripping and shaving

I got all the paint off the 66 the other day and have it primed up and am finally pretty happy with where the shaving on the 69 legs is. The other day I was in HF and they had a $5 engraver so on went my name.

Down the street

Down the street there is this tree that is pretty amazing. This is the coolest oak tree I think I have ever seen in person.

Been working on shaving the legs and cleaning up the trees on the 69xlch. Scored some KILLER files while working at a ski resort which are coming in handy lately. I just snapped a few pictures that I ended up liking and thought I would share.

Just do it

Today something happened that made me think getting older is definitely nothing but cool. Random couple conversations related to getting older and a general overtone of how it was looked down on from most. I couldn't disagree more. Being in a new place I have been pretty much minding my own business and setting up shop essentially. I have noticed my neighbor across the street working in his workshop and around the yard and walking his dog, smoking, drinking the occasional beer but pretty much always going from project to project....Cool seems like a straight up guy, probably in his 60's full beard and always wearing jeans and a flannel and a fedora. Well today before work I am in my shed working on projects and he is outside doing this that and the other. I walk inside to grab a few things and when I walk towards the garage he is in the street looking at me and says whats up bud? I re direct and head up to say hey bud whats going on. He says "you mind moving the car a bit up or back, I'm thinking about cutting that tree down over there." Pointing to this big ass tree that is at like a 60 degree tilt he says he thinks he will cut it down before it gets uprooted. I just said "Done, I'll just move it now." I walk inside to grab something else after moving the car and rrrrroar, chain saw started and within 3 seconds it hits the tree, Ha yeah buddy, 10 minutes later the tree crashes across the street and he is standing over it and yelled "now the work begins" after I give him the thumbs up and a big hell yeah. I left for work around 4 when he is starting to break the tree down and I swear when I came home to grab a bite to eat at 7 the thing was 50% cut up and stacked...Impressive.

Everybody left happy

Departure swap meet was killer. I think everyone that we knew left with something they were so stoked about I know I went looking for a 21" and a og popsicle pedal and in the first 5 minutes I found them for less then the gas it cost me to get there....Bam instant happiness add a 19 tire w/ tube and a sweet kickstand for the 69, what a morning. The morning just got better seeing everybody find something that made them smile making trips to the car with stashes, cool panhead outside all types of interesting stuff. The three pictures I took of relevance besides a couple of the panhead were of Dan getting the nicest set of tanks for his shovel, They looked like he had taken them right off a new bike and hung up for decades at a time. The picture of you walking away makes me laugh man I think a bomb could have gone off and you wouldn't have noticed how stoked you were on the find, congrats they are sweet. Good to see all you guys.

Definitely looking forward to the swap meet tomorrow, stoked someone switched hours last minute with me. I totally left work and came home, started my evening thinking well get up and work on bike and then head to work. Funny how I got through a few text with Dan saying he was going and how I was all bummed cause I wasn't going to make it and....BAM oh snap I swapped hours. Ill be seeing you guys tomorrow early
